Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Zach Muth is a guitarist, bassist, composer, and improviser. From an early age, Zach was drawn to the guitar—his grandfather had an extensive collection of vintage guitars and amplifiers that he often shared with Zach. After a few years of taking lessons from Peter Bonaskiewich, Zach performed for the first time in a local guitar competition consisting of Pete’s students at the age of 9. It was soon after that Zach realized he wanted to play guitar for a living.

Fast forward to 2021, Zach released his first album as a leader entitled Signals. The album features 8 of Zach’s original compositions and features long time collaborators Thomas Milovac on double bass, Justin Mendez on alto and tenor saxophones, and Eric Bailey on drums. Michael Emmert and Ryan Devlin are also featured on tenor saxophone.  In 2024, Zach recorded his second album Headspace through Bynx Records in Orlando, Florida. Headspace was released in February 14th, 2025. When he’s not in the studio, Zach performs with various groups in Central Florida. Notable venues include Timucua Arts Foundation, Judson’s Live, The Blue Bamboo Center for The Arts, and The Jazz Corner in Hilton Head, SC.

Outside of his own music, Zach is featured on: Sun Ray by The Thomas Milovac Sextet, What I See in You, an experimental duo album with guitarist Connor Tutins, and Milo’s Motion, by Thomas Milovac. Zach is also a member of USDA Organic, an organ trio with Ashton Bailey-Gould (drums) and Daniel Tenbusch (organ).
