Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Zach Muth is a guitarist, bassist, composer, and improviser. From an early age, Zach was drawn to the guitar from his grandfather who had an extensive collection of vintage guitars and amplifiers. After a few years of taking lessons from Peter Bonaskiewich, Zach, at the age of 9 performed for the first time in a local guitar competition consisting of Pete’s students. It was soon after that when Zach realized he wanted to play guitar for a living.

Fast forward to 2021, Zach released his first album as a leader entitled Signals. The album features 8 of Zach’s original compositions and features long time collaborators Thomas Milovac on Double Bass, Justin Mendez on Alto and Tenor Saxophones, and Eric Bailey on Drums. Michael Emmert and Ryan Devlin are also featured on Tenor Saxophone. In 2022, Zach spent two years working for American Queen Voyages, a now defunct riverboat cruise line which traveled the Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee rivers, as well as the Great Lakes. In 2024, Zach recorded his second album Headspace through Bynx Records in Orlando, Florida. Headspace was released in February 14th, 2025.

Outside of his own music, Zach is featured on Sun Ray by The Thomas Milovac Sextet, What I See in You, an experimental duo album with guitarist Connor Tutins, and Milo’s Motion, by Thomas Milovac. Zach is also a member of USDA Organic, an organ trio with Ashton Bailey-Gould (drums) and Daniel Tenbnusch (organ).
